Lobster Bisque is a type of cream soup made from blending and pureing lobster meat with heavy cream. This cream is what gives the lobster bisque a smooth rich texture. The process begins with making broth by boiling lobster shells together with aromatics like onions, celery, carrots, garlic along with some herbs. The broth is then strained off and becomes the base for our soup.
The soup preparation starts with melting butter in a pot. Then flour is whisked into the butter to form a roux that will be used to thicken the soup. The next step is to slowly add the lobster stock into the roux and let it simmer to thicken. Further sage enhances the flavoring along with cream which makes this soup velvety. Finally, the bisque is invigorated with salt, pepper, nutrition, and a twist of cayenne or paprika for spicy delight.
Chopped or semi-chopped chunks of lobster meatare added last to elevate the soup’s flavor profile. Cream or fresh herbs are added on top and the soup is served in hot temperature. The sea is exceptionally well captured on a spoon in every Lobster Bisque serving, making it an absolutely extravagant starter for a special event.
